Xiaomi will never forget the magical sounds she heard one hot summer evening when the power went out in her family’s apartment building. It happened at day’s end while her parents were preparing dinner. Her father lit candles while suggesting they take out their musical instruments and descend to the yard to perform for their neighbors. He played the erhu and her mother the accordion while she danced. About the author
Han Han est diplômée de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Guangzhou en Chine. Elle a illustré plusieurs livres pour enfants qui sont devenus très populaires en Chine, notamment Le papa monstre de Peng Yi et Libellule, libellule de Yin Jianling. Elle a reçu le prestigieux Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Award en 2015 pour Un concert d’été au clair de lune.
After graduating as an engineer, Lucía Cobo made a radical career change and worked for several years as a graphic designer. She then chose to study illustration at the Pablo Picasso School in A Coruña and since, has created several picture books for children. Her most recent publication, A furgoneta branca was released in 2019.
